EVDO with Alltel problem

I just got my phone replaced under warranty and received a refurbished phone from Alltel. Whenever i try to use data it says invalid password/username.

This is about the third refurbished phone i have got and every time i usually have to go to a special menu with a certain ## code and change my phone number, login name and password to what they should be.

Well it has been a while since i have had to do this and i can not for the life of me remember what this code was maybe #000000 or something along those lines.

I would call Alltel but usually it takes about 1 hour to get through to a CS and i can never find one who knows what the problem is.

So anyone with Alltel, if you could help me out that would be great.

I have Alltel. Press the 'phone' key and then enter ##778 and the SPC unlock code should be 000000 (as long as your phone is unlocked, most with Alltel are). Everything you need should be under that menu. Good luck.

Also, you should probably do a PRL update by pressing *228 at the phone /dialer menu and following the operators instructions. That will get you setup with all of the latest towers/roaming agreements.

I tried doing both of those suggestions to no avail.

Have you ever tried ##000000 or something similar to that with a factory ROM and settings? I think the problem I am having is that I never set up EVDO just went right to installing a custom ROM without data working to begin with.

Maybe i will just reinstall the factory ROM and go down to alltel and ask them to program the phone for me if i cant figure whats up.
