Plaxo Sync: Announcing Windows Mobile Client pre-alpha!
This was posted about a week ago in the Plaxo user forum. I hadn't seen any discussion yet. I haven't signed up for the pre-alpha yet, but since I've been using Plaxo for a long time and have all my calendars and contact accounts synced with it this has been somehting I've really been waiting to see. This is the official discussion:
http://forum.plaxo.com/showthread.php?t=3940 Repost: "We just released a pre-alpha version of Plaxo for Windows Mobile Phones. The client syncs your contacts between Plaxo and both Windows Smartphones and PocketPCs, and has support for WM 2003, 5.0 and 6.0. Check out the project page on http://labs.plaxo.com/labs/projects/windowsmobile/, and if you think you'd like to try it out, please send an e-mail to labs-windowsmobile@plaxo.com with the following info: Name Mobile phone carrier/model E.g. Hong Kwon hong@plaxo.com Verizon Motorola Q And we'll send you a link with the download bits. Again, this is pre-alpha software so all the usual disclaimers apply - it might be a little unstable, etc. Thanks for reading, and happy testing! Hong"

Plaxo is not an "email" program
it seems like this thread is going the wrong direction.
Plaxo is not an "email" application. Plaxo is a contact managment/relationship application. Plaxo does not forward or allow you access to your email, it allows you upto date contact information via its synchronized network of "Plaxo Members". Personally i think this is great. I love my Plaxo and rely on it to keep me upto date with my 3000 some odd media business contacts. Not to mention having web access to my contacts, notes, tasks is a bonus without having to set up a more complicated exchange or web server application. Go Plaxo!
