You do NOT have to trick the 6700 into thinking there are 2 cards to get a 4gb mini-sd to work. I've tried both ways. However, both are unstable if you read/write a lot to them consistently. When I just had 1 4gb partition - I had to reformat and reload everything about once a month. So . . . I thought I'd gain stability by formatting the card to two 2 gb partitions. Less than 2 weeks later, I'm already seeing one file get corrupted in an emulator program I use. It sets the games' configuration so it's constantly getting written to.

So. . . I'm going to go back to a 4gb partition. I have more RAM available and a faster transfer speed.

Overall - I wouldn't recommend a 4gb mini-SD if you plan to write/rewrite regularly. If you're just going to be constantly reading from it - (IE - music, movies) then it'll probably work great indefinitely.

Also - the generic no-names you see everywhere got corrupted as soon as I went over 2gb. Fortunately, the vendor allowed me to return it. I then got a TOPRAM card which at least allows me to reformat and start over regularly.
