Help, storage card disappeared!!

I dont know what the heck has happened but my 6700 suddenly no longer sees my 2GB kingston mini-sd card. Windows mobile device center also doesn't see it when exploring the phone. This has been going on for a couple of weeks and I can't seem to fix it. I put the card in my laptop card-reader but it won't let me browse it, says "the requested resource is in use". Upon trying to format the card it tells me that it is "unable to complete the format". What the hell do I do now???

Try a new SD card? Did you consider the probability that your card went bad?

Only thing you can do is make sure the contacts are clean and maybe try more than one PC card reader to rule out a problem with that.

If you still can't get it to read or format in the PC then I'd say the card is probably toast. If it's a domestic brand you should have a warranty on it.

I've also had problems with a Kingston Card showing up. Weird thing is it would show up for a while and then disappear, only to show up again randomly with all data still intact. Try contacting Kingston and see if they'll send you a new card.

You could also try a different card in your PPC.

That's a symptom of having let the carrier customizations on the Ext_Rom partition run. Or using an old ROM. Check to make sure your ext_rom partition is empty.

Tried all of those...seems that once the ROM kitchens were updated the card worked.
