I have o2 last call on my today screen - shows you the last caller, which is usually the one who left VM unless you missed a bunch of calls

If you hit the notification icon at the top you can see both notifications. You then have the option of hitting the missed call Icon instead of the voicemail icon.
Unfortunately I do not know of a way to get this behavior without using the stylus.... |

as an after thought I'd love to turn off the way 'Voicemail' takes over the left soft button. Many times I don't want to call my voicemail right away, and I hate losing this functionality. On top of that I have a contact programmed with my voicemail and the security code after it so I can listen in one touch (this was the only thing I missed from sprint). So if anyone knows a way to turn this notification off but leave the voicemail icon I'd love to hear it.

I'm with Alltel so YMMV, but I simply edited the voicemail acces number to include my password. It ends up looking like: <mobilenumber>pp<password>
I edited it by going to Start - Settings - Phone. When I use the left softbutton to dial voicemail it enters my password for me, and in the voicemail system I have it set to automatically start playing messages. Don't know if VZW has that option, but HTH. |

I don't think there is a way to do that without somehow disabling the voicemail notification. It would appear that the notifications enter a stack, and remain in the order that they were received. In this case, the missed call notification comes up, and then the voicemail notification comes up if they leave a voicemail. Since the voicemail notification is newer, it shows up on top. It just looks like that's how it works.
