Connection Icon Issues

Last night I connected to the WiFi in my apartment, I've done it a lot before with no issues. After I did that, this time I always see the WiFi connection icon, not 1X or EV even when I connect using the Cellular Line. Anyone know what could cause this? I'm running Colonel's 3.3 ROM (end of July is the build I have).
