Corrupted Extended Rom

Hi All,

I'm using the kitchen 1.0.4 and have been having problems with my extended rom.

First, the \exteded_rom and \Extended_ROM2 directories showed no files, but 8.76MB used, both in Total commander properties and the memory settings. I tried a few different attempts at unlocking the extended rom again using the unlocker, but no avail until I had to soft reset during a locked up startup (which BTW seem to occur pretty often). Now directories and files show up in the Extended Rom, but they are gibberish with missing dates, unrealistic sizes (e.g. 3GB).

Sounds like I need to reformat the exteded rom. Anyone know how to do that? Maybe Pocket mechanic?

just load the blank extended rom back onto it using the RUU tool.

How do I flash just the extended rom and not the main rom? Do I have to rebuild a ROM from the kitchen with a blank extended rom and then do something with that?

No. Grab this ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Apache/Misc%20Rom...tended ROM.rar, inside of it is ms_.nbf. extract it into the same folder as the RUU folder you use. Remove all the other .nbfs from the directory, and run the RUU.

I had to rename the ms_.nbf to nk.nbf and apparently flashing the extended rom causes a hard reset (as opposed to flashing just the radio rom).
