Verizon #777 Can I still use MMS if deleted from ISP list?

I got charged $35 by Verizon for pay by KB usage because I don't have the data plan on my phone. Supposedly I have unlimited txt/pic/mms so do I have to leave the #777 on my phone to send and receive MMS?

I removed it almost evertime I flashed before but the last time I didn't and I think one of my weather programs used EVDO to update it's self and that is what caused the $35 charge. Normally I just use the cradle or WiFi to update my weather and other apps but I can't seem to send/receive MMS this way.

So do I have to leave #777 under ISP and if so how can I keep all other programs from using EVDO so I don't get charged an arm and a leg

I only pay $40 a month for my phone so my bill effectively doubled by that one time usage. They said it downloaded like 2.3 MB and they charge $15 per MB.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

you need the #777 to send MMS messages. It does not count towards kB usage. Just be careful if u use, say, the internet you are not connected before you connect with wifi or you will be billed. you can just hold down the end button and it will log you off if you are on.

Thanks I'll try it I just don't want to get billed outrageous prices when I don't need there data plan. I have wifi almost everywhere I go. Like I said I flashed my phone one night and installed my apps an forgot to delete the #777 and I think a weather program logged on to the EVDO and updated itself.

Make sure that you are killing your data connections after sending and receiving MMS messages. The current version of Arcsoft doesn't like to auto disconnect.

I do not setup the #777 data connection at all and I'm still able to send and receive text messages. Here is a workaround for the mms pics problem: http://ppcgeeks.com/workaround-mms-p...tly-t5593.html
