Can't be done, at least as far as the research I did several months ago (spent about 10 hours trying). I even tried exporting/importing the entire registry hive (where the pairings are stored).
The only way that I could get to be successful was doing a complete backup of the device with SPB Backup. Restoring that backup will preserve the pairings. I assume that is due to it backing up one or more of the databases (.vol) files in addition to the registry hives, but that's just a hunch. |

my guess is that the pairing is based upon a random id signature that each device gets when it boots for the first time. So the pairing becomes invalid is that signature changes.

Well this is sure disappointing. I'd be willing to pay for such an app. I don't know about anybody else...just like the bounty that was created over the threaded sms app over on one of the other forums.

Re: Backup of bluetooth settings
Instead of Backup why not try Clone and use it as a 'backup'. I know that works because I have had to restore mine a time or two after playing with somethings I shouldnt have and could still use my BT w/o re-pairing.
