Spinning 'loading' icon wont go away on today screen

many apologies if this has been discussed before, but i dont know the name for the spinning beachball thing so its hard to search for it exactly, anyway, On my today screen it just spins and spins. everything is still able to be used, its just annoying and probably not good.

facts:
using SPB mobile shell
using Wireless Sync from Verizon
using custom kitchen from new .04 rom.
using palm messaging
using wa3 beta 6
calendar events are also set to display on the today screen.

...i think that's all that could maybe kinda be needed ever. its definitley everything that is showing up on the screen. PS. i tried soft resetting a couple times already to no avail, that doesnt seem to be the solution.

Turn off your today plugins, one at a time (you could even soft reset in between each one) and see which one causes the wait icon (that's the technical name for it--also called a beach ball) to stop.

(Start->Settings->Today->Items tab)

thanks, quick reply and good solution. i tried turning off everything at once and didnt soft-reset to no avail. Going 1 at a time With soft reset pointed to Mobile Shell as the culprit. Strange enough, if i enable it after soft-resetting, it is fine and i get no beach ball.

It's a known issue with WBA3 beta6.
Chris is working on it. I just went back to using beta5 and it went away.

I had a similar issue for awhile... the beachball just popped up for no reason and wouldn't go away for about 2 minutes even though I could navigate behind it... it did go away after that though and hasn't stuck around outside of "loading" since then...

Yeah, he says he's going to just scrap it for now...

I won't miss it, cause that things been bugging me for a while, hehe.
