Modifying a dialpad - What is the best GUI?

Hi -

I want to modify my dialpad slightly, and was looking for a WM5-compatible GUI that would let me lay out the redesigned buttons.

What is the best WM5 GUI for this?

Thanks!

Most of the dialers I've seen just have different pictures on the dialing screen but the button layout is the same.

I use Eten Dialer. Much bigger buttons. I actually have most other people at my company with a 6700 using it.

i tried the jimmy98 vista dialer or whatever, and i really liked it
however, i found that i couldn't access the ##786# menu or any of the ## menus. since i discovered that little oddity, i've kept the stock dialer

I never used the speed dial window... so I'm a happy camper... I HATED the stock skin. WAY too small buttons. I sometimes don't know what the hell MS is thinking. Some of it is just plan stupid.

Found an editor for the dialpad

I found a winner (well, sort of).

Restorator (a Windows Resource Editor) looks like it will do the trick. Drop in the phcanrc.dll resource file, and away you go.

Unfortunately, it is a little difficult to use from a GUI aspect. Since the graphics for the keys aren't embedded in the phcanrc.dll file, none of the key placeholders are visible until you click on them. when it brings up the portrait dialer, it looks blank at first until you start clicking on the screen.

I should be able to get by, though. I'll just have most of my keys a fixed size for both landscape and portrait modes (if possible).

Cheers!
