Best PPC web browsers?

Seems like everyone is using PIE... which I think most would admit is a bit lacking even with all the plugins and mods you can find for it.

As you guys are tinkering with the innards of the PPC rom is there a PIE alternative that we could replace PIE with? Or is it intimately linked into the OS?

I mostly use opera 8.65 because it works with flash. (Got to love those free betas right?)

I tried using opera mini for a while, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Don't get me wrong, it worked decently well, I just preferred using the regular opera browser on my phone.

Tell me more, regular opera or some kind of beta port of it to the PPC exists? how would I find it?

Furthermore, if I'm going to replace PIE, then how do I remove it from the rom to free up some more disk space?

piscel

Piscel Browser runs great. Piscel is only licensed for use by Samsung.
I also run Opera and Free Minimo.

You can find Picsel scraping around for it like the rest of us. It's not "officially" available to anyone but Samsug users.

To provide some scoping, the browsers I know of are...
-PIE
-Picsel
-Opera
-Deepfish

I've tried all but Deepfish. I find Opera to be the "best" (i.e. most compatible, most similar to my desktop browser experience), but prefer the Picsel UI for most things.

I really wanted to give deepfish a try, but unfortunately I never got an invite

As for picsel, I think I saw a cab on the ftp server here when I was bumming around earlier. ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Applications/ It's fun, but I dunno...I think I'll stick with Opera.
