Fast/easy means of opening the bluetooth "gateway"

Here's my issue, whenever my headphones open the connection by for example pressing the play button the sound is crap. However, if the PPC opens the connection it's "usually" pretty good. Not always but usually.

The problem is that the only means i know to have the PPC open the connection involves me going into the bluetooth settings which is cumbersome and time consuming.

Ideally I'd like shortcut, single click program, or script file that when launched opens the gateway FROM the PPC.

I can then map that link, program, or script to a hardware button allowing me to quickly open the gateway.

PS: if it's not called a gateway let me know... from what little research I've done on this it seems to be refered to as one more often then not.

Gateway is not the term you're looking for. An audio gateway in Bluetooth terms is a monaural connection used with the headset/handsfree profile.

What you want is some quicker way to activate the A2DP profile. Unfortunately I don't think anything like that exists.
