BuildImgfs.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

when I hit close createos wants to continue, but who knows if the rom is correct now. Before this I got through the whole thing and it totally screwed up my phone, it won't show any kind of background and is extrememly slow, and the boot screen is a garbled mess. I added those dll files thinking that might fix it, but it didn't. I have all the latest updates with regard to dotnet etc on my computer and I even tried it on 2 different computers downloading everything several times and it's a no go. I have a phone that barely works. 1.03 worked fine several times without any problems whatsoever. 1.04 is screwy somehow. Any help would really be appreciated, thanks!
You have too many things selected for your ROM. Deselect items until CreateROM finishes without error. A garbled screen has the same meaning - too much stuff selected for your ROM (though not as much as the prior failure).
Great thanks that worked. A little PPC cash for you

I put an OEM for flash bundle on the ftp in the nick_oem folder. I tested it and it works for me on the real youTube site (and the new youtube pocket site). It doesnt automatically associate TCPMP to use MMS so that needs to be set manually. I can add it if someone gives me the reg entry, I just dont have the means to find that out right now.

Any ideas?
Did you add your VoiceCmd.exe to the OEM folder? If you set notifications to "Announce notifications through device speaker or wired headset only" does it work for you?
Yes I copied the exe file to the folder. I have tried all setting, bluetooth only, bluetooth if available and speaker only. My meetings are getting anounced but not my incoming call.

I have 21MB of Program Memory free. I have not cleared my ext_rom, is this required? I did not load any of the ext_rom apps.

I leave my phone on vibrate only, no ringer, this worked with VC 1.5 on the 2.5 VZ Rom. I have also tried setting it to the Windows Default ringer, still the same result. I am using the Crossbow dialer with the HTC Smart dial.

and you of course have the checkbox marked to announce incoming calls in phone options? Uncheck it, x out and check it again.

ext_rom has nothing to do with it as long as you're sure none of them loaded after hard reset.

If everything that the phone needs is on the main device ie, skins, ringers etc., and you have plenty of available memory with not a lot of programs running than more than likely some 3rd party app. is causing the conflict. That being the case remove anything you might have just added if in any way it interacts with the phone (might even be an unrelated program). If its coming like that straight off a fresh build than its something you added to the rom. I see a lot of people having troubles with the htc today plugin. That would be my first guess. Second guess would be that you have a large and/or corrupted contacts database. Try cleaning that up and reloading it. through outlook.

Yes everything is in main memory and no 3rd party apps are running. That being said, I am using the HTC Today plugin. I will try rebuilding it without it to see if it still occurs. I do have a large contacts database but even without syncing, the number should be announce and it is not.

....I rebuilt it without the Today plugin, it is still not working.
