Amoamare, No thanks! I'd rather cook my own rom using the kitchen, I saw everything you put in it and thats just cloged with stuff I wont use that will slow down my phone. No offence, I like things my own way, not someone else's.

Secondly. I'm in town now, and things work a little better now since I did those settings last night. When I sent a pix message to my phone, it didn't come up as a text message with a link, it came up as an MMS... and when it tried to download it, it tried to open up the WAP connection. But here's the problem, I keep getting UN and/or PW is Invalid.

the18thtee, That MIN I gave you (5055555555) was just so I dont display my phone number on the web. It is my phone number tho. So I inputed for my UN, 5055555555@mycricket.com and PW is cricket. And it still doesn't work. I have tried a few things but it still doesn't work. And I can't get ahold of cricKet. They are having high call volume I guess. I was going to call them and ask them what my UN and PW is for the WAP. I just added the WAP (unlimited internet as cricKet calls it) yesterday. So it should be working. Other then that the new kitchen is rockin with this cricKet stuff workin...well almost working. Just gotta fix that problem.

Should I maybe *228 again since I just added the cricKet internet to my plan?

you dont use your MIN number you use your MDN actual phone number...
I really dont think that my ROM is cluttered there really isnt anything on it at all haha its kinda generic but thats ok.

Hey nFiniti - Just hold tight, Apparently Cricket has made some changes on their end making the two separate connections no longer necessary. Amoamare gave me some good info earlier about how their network is setup so I'll fix this for the next kitchen.

In the meantime does the Cricket WAP connection work? Ignore MMS for now and just see if you can browse the web.

And actually amoamare used a lot of restraint building his ROM! If you think that is clogged you should see my ROM!

nFiniti 08-01-2007 01:50 PM

I'm not putting it down... there were just a lot of things I don't want. I like to setup my own rom with the things I use.

luv. nothing is working. the mms is working better... but since it uses the wap to download the picture it doesn't finish downloading. wap doesn't connect. it says un or pw is invalid. I've done it over and over again. mms works more cause before when someone would send me a pix msg it would come in as a text saying to click a link to view the picture... now it actually shows up as an mms but it won't dl the picture cause it uses wap.

when you going to release the new kitchen? ill try the cricket rom before the new kitchen. see if it works.

luv2chill 08-01-2007 02:58 PM

That sounds great. Please test amoamare's ROM. I'm sure he'd like the feedback. I'm going to set up the data connection pretty much exactly as he did so please report back ASAP.

Next kitchen release is probably within 24 hours so if you have some time to flash ROMs and test that would be great.

nFiniti 08-01-2007 03:44 PM

Dude, I reflash every other day lol.... So yeah, I'll be your test bunny as long as my phone doesn't get screwed up.

I'll flash to amoamare's rom and when I go into town I'll test things out and report... then by then hopefully the new kitchen with the data settings will be setup right. So I can then make a new rom of my own.

*Off Topic* BTW, does anyone here know how to change the text that says Alltel on the Phone/Today screen? Also the text that says My Info on the My Info Screen?

Cricket MMS and WAP info

You will need a cab to unlock the MMS server settings I used badutahboy MMS Server Unlock.cab. Can't remember where I found it.

Step 1 dial ##778....and go to edit settings..

step 2 when you get in to the epst go to security.

step 3 Change the HDR AN AUTH USER ID to yourphonenumber@mycricket.com and change the password to cricket....do the same thing to the ppp user id and password

Step 4 got to M.IP Settings and change the number of profiles to 1...also change MIP_MODE to simple ip only.
Press ok and reset the 6700

Step 5 when phone comes on go to settings> connections>connections...under my work network hit add new modem connection..

Step 6 you can name it whatever you want...make sure the modem says cellular line

Step 7 hit next the phone number is #777 and hit next

Step 8 for user name put yourphonenumber@mycricket.com...password is cricket

Step 9 leave domain blank..and hit finish now go back to your connections and hit edit proxy server.

Step 10 select the box that says this network connects to the internet....and select the box under it too..
step 11 were it says proxy server : put Wap.mycricket.com...then hit advanced..

Sterp 12 there are going to be 4 different proxys here...click on the HTTP one..

Step 13 for the proxy put in Wap.mycricket.com....and where it say port put 8080...hit ok and do the same thing to the other 3..

Step 14 hit ok and got back to your connections...and click on the tabs that says advance...and hit select networks and make sure that My work network is used when programs connect to the internet..

Step 15...close all of that stuff out and go to internet explorer...and type in http://wap.cricket.motricity.com
...then its going to connect...and it should got to the portal.....

step 16 since you cant do much with the portal....type in this http://www.google.com/m?output=xhtm...=mobileproducts
and search for the website you want to go to and this will let you do it.....

--First Step: Get mobile WAP to work. *chuckles* http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1041644
--Second Step: Go into MMS Messaging menu and choose MMS Configuration to setup the ArcSoft MMS Composer
--Third Step:Configure a server setting for Cricket MMS. Choose the Servers tab and create/select your Cricket MMS entry. If you don't have one already, follow this link: http://www.howardforums.com/showpos...36&postcount=17

The settings are as follows:

--Server name: Mine is "Cricket MMS"
--Gateway: LEAVE BLANK!!!
--Port Number: 8080
--Server address: http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms
--Connect Via: Your Cricket WAP connection
--Sending size limitation: Leave alone (350k)
--WAP: WAP 2.0

Make sure your Cricket WAP connection settings have the username yourmobilenumber@mycricket.com and cricket as the password. Nothing else needs to change about your Cricket WAP/Proxy settings!

Got mine to send to my other Cricket account today (Motorola RAZR v3c).

The Server address should be: http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms
