No you don't need to be in a certain area to go into EPST. Try ##778# and if that doesn't work try ##778 Talk button.

ok it worked! thx... goin through things now.

haha, I can't pass the unlock code... what the hell is it supposed to be?

nFiniti 07-31-2007 11:32 PM

Ok... it shows two MIN's... MIN1 and MIN2...

MIN1: 5555555
MIN2: 505

nFiniti 07-31-2007 11:42 PM

Ok, I did the proceedure you gave the link to... everything seems to be setup... we'll see how it works tomorrow morning! If I respond to this saying it works... it means I'm on my phone...

the18thtee 07-31-2007 11:43 PM

Yeah, use MIN2 as the "area code" so to speak, then the MIN1 as the "phone number".
If those dont work then just use your 10 digit phone number.

On a side note: Have you used *228 to program your phone yet?

nFiniti 08-01-2007 12:11 AM

Yeah, isn't that what you have to dial to program your phone after having it flashed? yeah I did that when I first got the phone flashed to cricket.

the18thtee 08-01-2007 01:05 AM

Yeah, it makes a few adjustments in the EPST to make your phone compatible with your carrier. Because your MIN is 5555555 it makes me think that maybe dialing *228 again might change this. Try it and let me know what it says. Also, the mycricket.com website has alot of good information about programming your phone (surprisingly) so you should probably check it out as well.
Dial the *228 and check your MIN and let me know if anything changes.
If nothing changes then your MIN for your MMS should probably be your phone number (according to the mycricket site).

I have a custom cricket rom AKU3.5 that i released out the other day. Everything for you is set up automatically all you need to do is set you're MIP to SIP and load your PRL for cricket. Once thats done all you will have to do is click on internet explorer it will ask you for your username and settings.
Username: tendigitphone#@mycricket.com
Password: cricket

after that you will be able to log on and send picture messaging without modifying any settings.

@amoamare - Did you use the ROM kitchen and my cricket OEM to make your ROM? If so (or even if not) I would really appreciate it if you could test the OEM as set up to make sure that it works correctly on Cricket's network--not only the WAP proxy stuff but also the arcsoft MMS configuration as well.

I spent a really long time making that OEM so I would like to get it working for Cricket users who want to make their own ROMs as opposed to using one someone else built.

Thanks

amoamare 08-01-2007 03:08 AM

I used Helmi_APAC_Official_AKU3_5 Kitchen with my own OEM settings MMS and WAP all work fully tested straight from flash without and setting adjustments.
I didnt even know someone else made an oem haha :S
All the themes, cricket boot screen and everything are my desgin and makings.

if you have msn add me.
