PPC6700 won't turn on :( Please help.

I woke up one morning to find that my ppc-6700 won't turn on, and charging it (both from the battery charger alone and through the usb jack) doesn't work. When I connect it via the usb cable the phone cycles on and off, usually getting to the start screen and freezing. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks in advanced.

Have you tried to hard reset. You will have to sync after you hard reset. Are you using a custom rom? If so which one?

You may want to try and flash back to the utstar official rom. If it starts then you can try and reflash to Yager's rom. It could be the rom. If it still doesn't start you will probably have to take it to alltel. Make sure you flash it to the official before taking it in.

I had other problems with his rom, so I went back to building my own. you may want to try building your own. If you read the instructions, it's quite easy. This might be another option for you. I'm currently using the helmi 1.0.3 kitchen with some custom OEM's. It is very stable.

This one has been pretty stable for me....just hard reset a few times. This is actually the first real problem I had. Its no big deal. But anyways Im in the process of figuring out what I want on my Custom Rom Build (Using Helmi's latest Kitchen of course) I will release it for sprint at first (considering Im on sprint and its the only one I can test on) then other carriers. Stay Tuned.

I tried hard resetting with it connected - with no luck. Tried six times. It turns on and off, as it did before. When it's not connected, it's simply a black screen, resetting here does nothing.

I can't seem to flash either since the computer won't detect the device ;(

It's a sprint, by the way.

Thanks for the all help, again.

What happens when you hard reset? Be very specific.

What changes did you make before you first experienced the problem?

Is there anything at all displayed on the screen? Look closely (screen may be very dim)
