Plenty of cheap batteries on eBay. I just got an extended for $14 shipped.

I took my phone into sprint yesterday evening, and they replaced the battery free of charge.
 Everything works fine now. Thanks again for all the responses.

Thanks for the update on this gar598. I am having the same problem w/ the screen going to black (dead) when off of the power source. I'm using vx6700 on Verizon w/ BigJ ROM Upgrade. Everything was working perfectly until this weird issue. So, I too will be going into the store.

I have a feeling Slidelock or Contact manager .11 seem to be the culprits (possibly weatherpanel as well)
I removed the first 2 as WP is preinstalled in this rom. No problems since. Trying to get iContacts to be my default contact manager now, as that seems to not have any probs with this rom (its captainjagers helmi rom, latest kitchen)
