AKU 3.5 Remapped Hard Reset buttons?

It's simple... I can no longer do a hard reset. Anyone know of any other combinations?

Since this is your first post, I'm going to check out that you did the correct way first. You pressed the two soft/hard keys and then used your stylus to reset at the same time. When the screen reset, you didn't see a message telling you to press "Y" to clear/reset or "N" to cancel (and then the space bar if you pressed "Y" to confirm if you have a newer phone).

Not wanting to sound patronizing... but some who came from other devices thought that pressing reset and the Power button at the same time would do it. (I was one of them as this was the way it worked on my PPC6600!)

If this doesn't work, you can always try one of the programs that does the same thing [Clear storage, I think] or Soti Pocket Controller [v6 and up]. There are probably others.

There are also ##***# codes that will perform a hard reset or a Master reset (wipes out everything and requires reprogramming of the phone). Not recommended unless you know what you're doing. I don't remember the codes, but they are around here.
[I just found them and added them as an attachment. RTN is the Master Reset.]

Also, if your softkeys don't work on the front of the device, slide the keyboard open and use the soft keys on the far left and right of it--will work the same way.

Thanks,

It ended up being that I was using the soft keys on my keyboard instead of on the front. However the soft keys on my keyboard had worked for me at one time...

oh well thanks again and yea people have been removing "Clear Storage" from these firmwares, but it is nice to know of the other incase I want to place it on my SD card.
