Can I use my old PPC6700 (sprint) on Verizon?

If I flash the phone with a new rom, and put Verizons carrior cab on it, will i be able to use it on their system? I used to use this phone on sprint, and now i want to give it to my brother to use on his verizon account..
wil it work, or is it a waste of time?

sorry did not mean this to be a poll..

Re: Can I use my old PPC6700 (sprint) on Verizon?

there are many threads about this if you were to search you would find them but the jist of it would be that you would have to flash it to a verizon rom and call them up and do some sweet talking to have them activate it. there are prolly alot more steps but i dont know this off the top of my head. there was a thread a while ago about this but you would have to search to find it. This deosnt seem likely or easy since verizon doesnt like other carriers phones on their network.
