I can justify the price, even at $30.

I have been through a few adapters (not for USB, this is the first phone I had with USB charging) which have broken rather easily. Those usually sell for $10-$20. The $30 iGo from radioshack is rather durable and unless you really treat your electronics like shit, it will last you forever.

Also of note, I bought a $15 car charger for a phone at a discount location once and it broke the connector on my phone. I was rather upset that I had saved $15 on the charger only to have to spend $60 in repair costs.
