reflashed ppc6700 using kitchen build, now dead?

I followed the kitchen instructions (as well I could!) for Apache build (ver 1), flashed my phone to 6.1, hard re-set it, and it came up with the PPCGeeks and PPCKitchen.org PRESENT, along with the boot info at the bottom of the screen (3.61.00 WWE), and then - NOTHING!

It won't go past that screen, won't sinc with ActiveSync on my computer anymore, the "restore factory defaults" didn't help, and almost none of the keys do anything! Damn!

I was able to access the "boot option" and enable USB KILT (by soft-resetting then holding down the 2 buttons on the left side for several seconds, then using other keys to toggle and use the camera button to confirm) then my computer recognized a "new device" via the USB connection, but Windows Explorer wasn't able to do anything with the device, even though it listed "Mobile".

I tried using the mini-sd card to boot (with .nbh files on it), but can't find a way for the phone to do it.

I've looked for ways to make my XP computer recognize KILT, but no luck. Talked with several tech people on the phone about this to no avail, and here I am!

Any ideas, or did I officially kill it?

Thanks, Patrick

You can not "kill" an Apache with software. WHat happened is you bloaded a ROM. Select less apps. Put the phone in booloader, Power+Reset+Record, and then reflash.

Thanks - it worked, at least I got the old Vorizon flash back on it and it's up and running. Now to try to build another, smaller, 6.1 rom...

Great. If you want, try using my pre-made ROM, PDAJ's WM6.1, just to get a feel for how you might wanna build yours.

Re: reflashed ppc6700 using kitchen build, now dead?

I'm stuck again, although I got the stock rom and Helmi's WM 6 to work - I just can't get any builds to work - even if I don't add any programs! I tried building all the options availble (20924, 20931...).

And I can't figure out how to get PPCkitchen_OEM.rar or Apache_21198.rar files to work. What am I missing this time, I wonder!

Thanks for your help... P

PS: I got your ver 1.00 NoID to work, but the other one didn't. Maybe that's what I was missing when I was building my own??

P

Read my guides on how to use the kitchen. Please spend time searching. It will save a lot of headaches when you're just geting started flashing...
