SPB Weather Skins...

I keep having trouble getting the SPB weather , Pocket Plus, and the SPB insight oem that I made to work together. Therefore I am remaking the SPB weather OEM and adapting all of them to work with the SPB Core Services OEM. Since I plan to share these. I have a question in mind for those of you that might try these OEMs.

Anyway, how many of you that use SPB weather actually use the other skins other than the default skin? I ask because I am not going to include the others with the OEM to save space. Especially because you have to copy them to another folder with initflashfiles.txt. What a waste! It's like a half a mb of space when you count both copies of the skins. I have made a cab though that you can install the skins after the fact incase you really want them.

So all in all, I am looking for your thoughts on this situation and my possible solution.

Re: SPB Weather Skins...

By chance have you tried Weather Panel OEM? I have SPB Weather installed as an OEM but rarely if ever use it (mainly the Now screen plugin and cause I paid for it). Weather Panel integrates nicely with Shell and offers so much more than SPB Weather and its free.

Seems the more I use the SPB products (Plus, Shell, Weather, Insight, Backup, Imageer) the more I realize they are horribly bug infested, horribly lacking expected features and for the most part seem to be the root cause of many slow downs and crashes in every ROM Ive cooked or used. Although that sounds pretty harsh I must say I cant live w/o Plus or Shell.

I've used weather panel and I must say that I like it and I like the fact that it has a radar map as SPB weather does not.

I have gravitated towards spb weather because it integrates with pocket plus so it take up less space on the today screen.

I must say that spb apps do suck the life out of the pocket pc though... but i am trying to tweak these and see what i can do with them. Mainly it's a project to keep me busy

I use Insight, PocketPlus, SPB Phone Suite, SPB Mobile Shell, SPB Weather and weather panel for different reasons along with Pocket Weather, and would love to see OEMs for all of these products with the SPB Services OEM. Let me know when you have it, I would love to integrate it into my ROM. Thanks in advance and keep up the good work. It would be great if some of us got together with our OEMs and put them in a single location to share. I'll post mine if you will. I have made OEMS for some of the utilities I use like PocketMusic, IPDashboard, and a others. If you have any requests, i'll take the time to build them. Cheers all!!
