Problem Tethering with New Kitchen

Just flashed the new 3.5 ROM (created with only a few non-default OEMs). Trying to use Internet Sharing to tether via USB causes the PC (XP) to look for Pocketpc USB Sync driver, which it fails to find. Using WModem also brings up an unknown modem error. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Thats odd, Whenever I needed to use Internet sharing, XP has always had that PocketPC usb sync driver pre-installed, and it was automatically used...

That sounds like a possible XP issue as opposed to the PPC...
EDIT: Try the following and see if that helps at all, also, check that thread as there are a few other ideas to try too...

I was having the same problem. I tried everything mentioned in this thread to no avail. Then, I noticed that I had very little free space on the phone. Deleted some files and voila, everything works again.

Hope this helps.

on XP you need to have ActiveSync 4.5 installed. Even if you already do, uninstall it and go to MS and redownload the latest version and install that.

Shaska and luv2chill,

Thanks for your quick replies. luv2chill is right on the money - after upgrading to AS 4.5, everything works as it should!
