Hanging issue with Helmi 1.0.2 Official

Well a minimal build is not what I said

I said try a "stock" build. Meaning don't add any 3rd party OEMs (this means you'll have to uncheck some of the things that are checked when you first open buildos).

If it still hangs in that scenario the problem is most likely with your device.

Ah, sorry, I misunderstood..


It seems like the device is working for now. Instead of reloading my apps all at once, I did them one-by-one with a soft-reset in between each.

i've had this hanging issue with the most recent rom I built. Strange, however, because I didn't experience it before and I am included lesser programs in this new ROM. I singled it down to these possible causes:

1. Using many other programs while building the rom and locking up windows while building it
2. Using option 1 for RUU
3. Activesync getting in the way while trying to flash

I noticed the hanging issue at startup if the USB was connected after I flashed radio_1.41 and Helmi_1.0.2. After installing Helmi_1.0.3, the phone will hang at startup even the USB is not connected. All I have done is flashing, hard reset, sign in Windows Live, then witinin one or two soft reset, the phone will hang at startup.

I tried some ROM combinations and removed Windows Live, neither seemed to solve the problem. So I figured I would just start everything from the beginning that was origianlly working fine. I flashed the factory rom, then flashed Kirvin's C&S (cleaned Extended_ROM), then removed Weatherpanel and SPB Pocket Plus from the Helmi_1.0.3 kitchen and build & flash. Now everything works perfect. The phone won't hang at startup even the USB is connected.

BTW, Windows Live set up an email account which always wanted to connect via phone data (call #777) even the wireless LAN is connected. So I removed it anyway and kept pocket MSN.

You know, I removed SPB phone suite and SPB pocket shell from the kitchen, and kept everything else the same (left in weatherpanel). I havent had a single lockup since I did that, even after I installed my SPB apps.

Those SPB Apps don't hang for me, but YMMV
