I don't know if I can stand the heat in this "kitchen&q

Can I get some help or do I have be an ugly girl? LOL

I have a xv6700 and desperately want to make it run quicker like everyone was saying there's does here with the new ROM. I was ready to buy an iPhone (no,seriously) but looked around online to see if I could get my 6700 to work better, because I do love it. I saw this page and even read the entire "kitchen" .pdf and it just seemed overwhelming!

This is not unlike my experience in an actual kitchen but that's why I eat out.

Is it easier than it looks or am going to have to dig my heels in and try step-by-step. It seems that the .rar is crammed with files. I don't think I need all of them, do I? I need some guidance.

My soon-to-be ex-boyfriend won't help me which is why I'm upgrading him!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

LOL

Seriously - the instructions are complete. Start following them and ask questions as you have them.

If it's too overwhelming, skip the kitchen and use one of the packaged ROMs.

There's packaged ones? I want one of those! Where are they? My 6700 is Verizon. Thank you, Willy. You're awesome!

it's pretty easy actually. I felt intimidated at first. All you have to do is basically run buildos.exe, select the programs you want. Then run creatrom.bat from there. just read the third chapter of the pdf

Here are a couple of links to threads with ready built roms.

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/captainjager...rom-t6243.html
This is CaptainJager's.

http://www.ppcgeeks.com/bigjs-hybrid...-07-t6876.html
This is JBabey's.

Just scroll down and click on the link specific for Verizon. JBabey's also includes a newer radio rom that has increased my reception. Hopefully one of these might be what you are looking for.

jay

Edit. These threads are also a good place to talk about problems with the specific rom if you run into any.

Thanks, both of you! I'm gonna go look into these right now. I'm actually Quite basic and just want a faster, more friendly phone. I don't want to learn computer science, not that there's anything wrong with it. )
