Device Lock outta nowhere

First off, thanks guys.. These kitchens and builds are kickass! I did do a search for my issue, but found no answers.

Second.. I have a 6700 provided through verizon that I built with WM 6.1 build 20748.1.4.0 using build OS about a half year ago..

Every now and then, for no apparent reason, I get a "Device Lock" screen out of nowhere. last night, I was plugged into my car charger, had sent a few SMS messages, and laid the device on the seat. My incoming chime went off, and BAM, device locked. I've never set up device lock, so I tried all the standard numbers

0000
000000
1234
my phone number etc etc
A soft reboot got rid of the screen, but I lost the incoming text messages.. Is there any way to either remove device lock completely or ensure this doesn't continue to happen?

Re: Device Lock outta nowhere

I havent seen that issue but if it is one that keeps occuring then I would either prepare for a newer cooked ROM or actually go ahead and assign a password but disable the lock. That way IF it does ever lock again, you know what the password is and will not have to soft/hard reset.

Re: Device Lock outta nowhere

yeah it keeps happening, oddly whenever device is low and inserted into charging when the device is "off" I just made it the same password as my luggage 1234

I will wipe it and cook a new rom anyway, when I have the energy!

Re: Device Lock outta nowhere

It takes energy to cook a ROM? I can do it in my sleep. Lol. If you don't wanna cook you can use mine.
