WMP won't play files off of SD card

Tonight I flashed to the new Helmi kitchen, and since then my WMA files on my SD card will no longer play. When I try to open them in WMP I get an error that says "The system cannot find the file specified". This even happens if I go find the file in the file explorer and try to play from there. Any ideas?

Side note:
Can the HTC Audio Manager play DRM protected files?

Thanks!

I think in order to play DRM protected files you need to sync them via WMP on your desktop. Is that how you did it?

If I were you I woud just strip the DRM off of them as I am sure that is the cuprit here--what a PITA that stuff is.

I synced them originally from Naptser. Any idea why it takes sooo long for things to transfer from napster or wmp? It actually locked up the 6700 at least 2-3 times while transferring music (about 1.5gb)

Ah, yeah becuase the apache's USB port only works at USB 1.1 speeds. Sad that in this day and age HTC's PDAs still aren't using USB 2.0, but such is life. I wonder if you can use WMP to sync them to the card using a USB 2.0 card reader hooked to your PC instead? That would go a lot quicker.

That makes sense about the speeds. I'm not sure if the subscription service DRM would like the SD card transfer method. But what the hell. I'll try it and post back.

I havent used it myself but a google search for Fairuse4m may help rid yourself of DRM.

Use a card reader.

DRM issue solved. Reloaded wma files via card read and they worked great. Still didn't transfer that fast, but much better.
