Cant get WM5 to sync on Vista

Can anyone help me? I cant get my PPC 6700 to sync on Windows Vista. I finaly got the phone to partner with my computer, but still not able to get a executable file of spades to sync. I can get the file on the phone, but then it says not a mobile file. I can drag and drop files, but its not converting it to mobile format. Im not understanding whats going wrong. It would convert on XP, but its not on Vista. I also downloaded Windows Mobile Divice Center, but im getting the same results. Could someone please help, I would really appreciate the help.

Spades as in the card game? Have you tried downloading a Spades game in a .CAB version for your device and not a .EXE version? I know you said XP converted it for you but keep in mind (unless I am missing something here) that XP converting a file doesnt change the code and what platform it was made to run on.

Re: Cant get WM5 to sync on Vista

I understand about what you are saying about the platform that it was made to run on, but what I mean by converting is that when the game is downloaded to my PC, it is not in mobile form. Then it has to go through sync to format it to mobile executable files. QUESTION? How do you transfer files to your mobile device from your PC? (exe. files and Movies)

Re: Cant get WM5 to sync on Vista

Well there is a way through WMDC but being I havent used Vista in SO LONG I really dont remember. But once the device is synced the PC should detect it as a mobile device and then from there you can go to My Computer and see it there, thus allowing you to right click and Open or Explore. Then you shouls be able to cut/copy and paste accordingly.
