No Verizon Network while plugged into USB

I'm sure this is something simple that I need to open a menu and click, "Don't do this while this is going on" but for some reason when I plug my XV6700 into my laptop at work I lose all network functioning... no MMS, no internet. I still have SMS and phone but no "internet" features. Sorry for the n00bism, but what am I missing?

I know a lot fo smartphones disable it when you plug it in. Not sure about the PPC's or specifically 6700s.

Yep, just tried it, when I'm connected I don't get EVDO, mms's, or wifi. I think only one 'connection' can be done. cause it said verizon and my wifi connection when i click the towers, then when i plugged it in only verizon and activesync.

Well when you plug the 6700 into the computer, the active sync takes over, so to speak, and it disables your internet connection.

The USB connection is now your primary connection for syncing files and folders to the device. Once you unplug the device, you can resume your internet connections.

This is a very normal activity for the 6700s. I am sure if you go to your computer, and disable the USB Connection on the Active Sync or Mobile Device Manager (Vista) you will be able to charge your device via USB and still maintain your internet.
