Using my Apache on Virgin Mobile

I've had my Sprint PPC 6700 for some time now and have been more or less mooching off my family's family plan. I've been told that in April we will no longer have sprint service and that I'd need to start paying my own cellphone bill. I'm in college; I don't really use anything other than text messaging service wise; and don't have much money to spend on a monthly service plan.

I really like the organization the Apache affords me and have enjoyed the customization the buildos kitchens provide. I'd like to continue using my 6700, but I can't seem to find wether or not you can even use one with Virgin Mobile. Would I use just the generic carrier selection in the kitchen? If so what do I need to do to make it work with Virgin Mobile. Do I need to set up/find out anything? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Using my Apache on Virgin Mobile

Yes Virgin Mobile is a CDMA. In fact they use sprint's towers.
"Under Virgin Mobile's arrangement with Sprint, Virgin Mobile customers have access to service on the Sprint Nationwide PCS Network. Although Sprint provides Virgin Mobile customers access to its wireless network, Virgin Mobile is responsible to its customers for the service."

I know it may be difficult to set up my apache to use this service, but if everything were easy in the world no one would strive to do anything important.

Lets start simple. How do I make a profile that I can add to the ppckitchen. What would I need to make the profile? How can I find it? It will be easy for me to get another prepaid phone with the Virgin Mobile network, and they give you the codes to fiddle with the msdn and other such good stuff.
