Re: can 6700 support Google Map my location?
Ive seen where Google maps says it does cell tower triangulation but what I havent seen is anyone able to make that work. All the guys and gals here on the board that are using Google Latitude are using it with true GPS and a data connection. Being the 6700 does do true GPS (internally) is the reason its not working.

Re: can 6700 support Google Map my location?
Actually, cell tower detection only works with GSM phones. CDMA can not detect your position. Besides, the feature is almost useless, it is a HUGE radius. If you have a bluetooth GPS reciever that will work...

Re: can 6700 support Google Map my location?
Don't trust every review you read. The 6700 does not have a built in GPS chip. There are guys on this board much wiser than phone scoop, it is proven that there is no GPS chip, meaning GPS will not work without an external reciever. Besides, phone scoop has very little knowledge on WM devices. I sae Noah on YouTube and he doesn't know much...

Re: can 6700 support Google Map my location?
Even thought the phone might show a gps setting you will not be able to do it because you will need a radio that I believe it is 2.1 and above and 6700 does not suport those radios. I remeber I had those issues long time ago with my 6700.

Re: can 6700 support Google Map my location?
It's the 3.xx radios. and yes, the Apache only ever supported 1.xx There isn't a GPS chip inside of the phone, end of story. The Gps settings is only for external recievers.
