Rom Newbie - Bit Confused...

Hi Guys...
I am a new Verizon 6700 user..no Data plan (but text).. I had a few things installed before getting the cell activated (SPB Menu/GPS Software/Wifi stuff etc..) and have now tried a few ROMS..but still see the old stuff on the PPC.. I have done HARD Resets etc.. but no luck.. Do I have to go in and maually delete what I want?
Also.. When I dloaded the New Kitchen...and attnemt to run the CREATEOS.exe, I hit start but get a LOC\packages.sof is corrupt error.. On multiple machines and different downloads.. Any ideas what I have not done to get this error??

Thanks!

Did you run build os first? Which kitchen are using? And which carrier are you using (sprint, verizon, etc,)?
