Can't make calls after ESN change, but can recieve.

SO my 6700 was crushed, so I found a replacement on Craigslist. Got the ESN before hand, checked it, it was clear. Goto activate, and its stolen. Woops! Sprint Rep forgot to mention that they have two billing systems since the Nextel merger.......

Anyways.

I changed the ESN on my phone to match my old one. After doing so I cannot make calls. I can however recieve them. I have tryed a hard reset, PRI checksum reset, RTN reset etc..

Anyone else have this problem or any insight as to why I am having this problem?

I have succesfully cloned phones before when I had a 6600 and an older LG. So I know what I am doing, but this leaves me stumped.

I have another Carrier, Cricket. I tryed reverting back to the old ESN and activating it on Cricket. Same deal. Phones recieves, but will not dial out.

I have tryed several Sprint and Cricket PRLS, and get the same result each time. I can recieve calls, text msgs, and Voicemail notification. But no outgoing calls/data.

If anyone has ANY ideas to try, please let me know. Right now I have a $300 paper weight, or atleast half a paperweight.

I have a reverse problem not too long ago, but got a hold of a thread where i went into the EPST.exe "##778" and Modem Settings and tweak the preferred mode and hybrid mode to disable and enable respectively. You might wanna give it a shot if u haven't done so.

I will do so. In the mean time. Is anyone kind enough to post their $SYS.ESN file? Minus their ESN of course

Nope no go, still nothing. I even had my number changed, hoping it was a problem with the MDN/MIN.

The tutorial is here, except in my case I couldn't write anything to the phone with BitPim. I had to use QPST's EFS Explorer. (And its a Treo 700WX).

Hit Google with this phrase "I changed my esn".
