Do a hard reset. Hold the left and right soft keys and then reset. It will ask if you want to erase everything, press the Y button on the keyboard. And you are good to go.
oh, BTW, I am not responsible. blah blah blah. Do a active sync with the PC before you do this so that your contacts remain intact. -AR

There are two things that have to happen with the extended rom
* make it visible * unlock it If you make it visible without unlocking it, you'll be able to delete files, so it seems, but they're not really deleted - no space is freed and the files are still there after the next soft reset. My guess - you didn't unlock, you just unhid. |

Thanks for the reply, I did a hard reset as well but everything just keep coming back with VZW crap. I copied my own EXT_ROM contents to it and upon soft/hard reset, everything from VZW reappear.

Run the extom proggy in the programs folder, this will then unlock the files and you can delete them, add your own, set as read only and they will then survive hard resets

Update, it was the problem with unlocking app. Although it's built into the ROM but never got executed just this one time. Many times before it did, so don't know what's the difference this time. Anyway, I did run the app manually and it did let me add my own cabs in there.
Thanks everyone for your input. |
