Shorted on storage memory!

Hey can anyone help me?

I got a refurb replacement 6700 from sprint. I kept running out of memory when reloading my stuff on the new unit and lo and behold I only got 39.59 mb of storage mem on this unit. I recall from my previous units I had 43.5 mb of storage mem.

Has anyone seen this? Fixed it? The deficiency existed right out of the box, and persisted despite flashing to a new ROM, hard reset, soft reset etc.

Sprint owes me a new phone. I need my extra 4mb! I just can't figure out why this would have happened.

FYI:
Memory CPL
storage: total 39.59 .. program total 47.19 mb

thanks all.

that's correct for the version of the OS you have loaded on your 6700 - you are either misrecalling or you were not running the same OS.

Every AKU 3.x I have ever run, including the one on my 6700 right now, has
Storage: 39.59/Program: 49.20

Looks like you've got yourself some interesting ROM there...

I've been having weird memory problems, I just redid my phone because I only had 4mb of storage left over... kept getting errors.

But I haveTotal 43.50mb of Storage Memory, and 49.20mb of program memory.

Beats me. Mine's always been 39.x/47.x - perhaps there is some difference in various builds. In either case, I doubt Sprint will care, or will pony up a new phone (the point of this topic, after all)
