Yep, use pimbackup. It will export your contacts/phone numbers to a file, that it can also restore. I've attached it here...
Attached Files
File Type: zip pimbackupexe_588.zip (168.0 KB, 18 views) Click for barcode!

Carl,
Your attachment seems to be corrupt or is missing something. I'll look and see if I still have a good copy.

Well, I didnt have my phone handy, I just grabbed that exe out of the oem folder. Make sure you removed the .zip extension off the end, it is not a zip file.... It's a Windows mobile .exe...

better yet, try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705 , as it has all the latest upto date info, including cabs.

well, you need that software if you want to restore it again. I'd do this -- copy it and the file that it made off to your computer, or sd card if you have one in your phone. (You can run this directly from the sd card...) then if you ever flash, one of the first things you would want to do, is run it, and choose restore, and point it to the file it created, and it will restore everything.
