Looking for SD.cab

Whenever I pop in the mem card into the XV6700 it locks up. Remove the card and all is normal again. Today I tried SDHC.cab that I found on another post. Now about 1/2 the time I can insert the mem card and it does not lockup. The other times it will.

However when not locked up file explorer still can't see the card.

I used the Kitchen to create a WM6.1 rom for my phone. However its not very stable feeling. For instance: When I setup the WAP/MMS for cricket and had it all working great but than 2 days later I could not send/receive MMS. I discovered the changes I made had somehow " erased ". Plus there were Alltel settings that magically appeared which was really strange since this phone originally was Verizon.

Before I create another flash I'm thinking parts of the basic SD drivers could be missing. So I'd like to try to install those drivers if someone has the standard SD.cab.

Funny how this phone has no working LED's no vibrate and now the SD problem. Beginning to feel like there are gaping holes in the OS I created. Just one of those feelings if you know what I mean.

Sorry for the long post and thanks for the help.

Hopefully someone will help us out on the SDHC stuff. That cab wasn't the standard cab, it was for the high density (HD) mini-sd cards. But the led fix is well known. It was done to extend battery life. Here is the default setting:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\DRIVERS\BUILTIN\ALLLEDMGR]
"Index"=dword:0
Should change that to a ONE .... 1

Re: Looking for SD.cab

Thanks, and yes I've been there and it has always been set to one ( 1 ) This phone was owned by a teenager, starting to think it has seen better days. I went to this style phone because texting on a number pad was a real PIA with only one hand.

Re: Looking for SD.cab

I too am looking for the SDHC cab files. I'd prefer to just keep the original WM5 on my phone this time around and am looking for cab files that can read 8gig or higher. The only success I had with this was using a previous phone and the kitchen upgrading to wm6, but I had other stability issues hence I'd like to keep wm5 this time around.

I have found one set of sdhc cab files that will let me read 4/8 gigs, but none that will let me read the full 8.

Is there somewhere I can download the drivers used in the kitchen and does anyone know if they only work with WM6?

Thanks

Re: Looking for SD.cab

Back up your stuff. Format the card to "Fat32". I have found that to help.

Re: Looking for SD.cab

Thanks PDAPhoneJunkie reformatted to fat32 and now I can actually see the card. Do you have a recommendation for browsing a Windows network?

Again, Thanks
