Re: Message LED's & phone + WiFi
I bet you have the vibrate hack done, I don't remember exactly what it was (it's been over a year now since I got my 6800) but I remember there was a hack that did one thing that lots of people liked, but the side affect was that the led's stopped working...

Re: Message LED's & phone + WiFi
Good call. Isnt this it here?
------------------------------------------------------------------- Hkey_Local_Machine/Drivers/Builtin/AllLEDMgr And change the Index value from 1 to 0 Then soft reset. This is for both the blue and green LEDs. ------------------------------------------------------------------- So if you have done this, then reversing it could rectify your issue. |

Re: Message LED's & phone + WiFi
I've been poking around the registry hoping something obvious would jump out but so far everything appears set for the LED's to function. I have not tried the vibrate function, I will see if that works.
I have noticed that I can not find these 2 DLL's nLEDdrvr.dll & allLEDmgr.dll Why they are not there I have not a clue I may just be looking in the wrong area. If anyone has these 2 dll's from their wm 6.1 phone if you could post them I would appreciate it. Thanks, again |

Re: Message LED's & phone + WiFi
The thing is that you do not want to try the LED reg edit if you havent done it. Doing it caused other issues which is what Nuguy was trying to explain. He thought you HAD tried it and thus caused your issues. But if you have not done it and if you have already either hard reset or flashed, then Im fairly certain your LEDs are dead. You wont be the first if that gives any comfort.

Re: Message LED's & phone + WiFi
Actually I had thought that the regedit hack had been done through the kitchen rom cook that I had done. But looking at the registry all appears intact. I am now leaning towards the 2 dll's that I can not find in my windows directory and sub directories. Be easier if file explorer had a "search" feature. The registry appears to hook back to these dll's. It makes sense to me that if they are missing there would be no LED activity at all.
Of course I am probably way off course here. Thanks |

Re: Message LED's & phone + WiFi
Well I found the 2 dll's and they were on the phone so I'm guessing the LED's and the vibrate no longer function. The vibrate is no biggie to me but the LED's at least for message notification would of been nice.
I'll stop poking around this thing before I break it. Thanks |
