PPC 6700 stops vibrating randomly...why?

My PPC 6700 will sometimes stop vibrating, and then a couple hours later it will work again. Why does it do this? Does someone have any solutions to this? I don't have any custom ROM installed, I have the Sprint ROM. Should I flash it with a custom ROM to stop its randomness?

I would take the phone back to Sprint and get a new one. It sounds like a Sprint issue to me.

Can't, I actually bought it off some guy on Craigslist, supposedly the phone was only used for only 2 months. I don't think it's technical problem because if it was, then it would not vibrate at all.

There's another method though. I can however take it to Sprint and have them do Service Repair (but that would cost me $55 and than add the Total Protection Plan, but other than, nothing I can really do but try to fix it myself.

Can it be something a hack did? Only hack I'm running is Kirvin's APU 3.5 ROM.

I'm having the same problem...but i haven't done any hacks towards vibration or the LEDs. Guess I'll call Verizon and ask them.

Ok, I figured out what the problem is. I emailed e-care to see if they would add TEP onto my current plan and they agreed to, so I took it into a Sprint store to let them take a look at it. There was actually a problem with the vibrator ( ) so they replaced it and now it works flawlessly.

same, I called verizon and they went through the usual "steps to fix a problem"--go fig it didn't work. So now they are sending me a replacement phone...only thing that sucks is it is a refurb.
