Making Opera Mobile default browser

Does anyone know how to make Pocket IRC open links in Opera Mobile instead of IE?

I have noticed that the palm threaded sms application does the same thing.

All other programs open up in Opera Mobile just fine, (and yes, I did select the option in Opera to make it the default browser).

You probably already did this, but did you try soft resetting after selecting Opera as the default browser? Sometimes for changes to take affect you need to soft reset.

Yeah thats one of the things I have tried. I think there is something that is built into the code of pocket irc that makes it open in IE.

I don't have my phone handy to look, but you may be able to edit the registry to make this happen. Look for something like :BROWSER or similar.

Got it. Try HKLM>Software>Microsoft>Shell>Rai>:MSPIE Change iexplore.exe to the path and executable for Opera. Should work.

Cool, I'll give it a shot. I was trying to find were the registry setting was for it.
