Unhappy Problems with HTC Apache

Hi Everyone...
I'm new here at PPC Geeks and to PPCs in general.
I recently received an HTC Apache from one of my friends. When I got it, it would boot into a ridiculously corrupted version of WM6 (white screen in behind, icons only appeared when the corresponding button was pressed, took 15 minutes to actually boot). He told me he thought the problem was a bad bootloader, so i followed the directions for a stuck 2.04/2.05 bootloader, as he said that should fix it. I did notice before this that the bootloader screen did say 2.02, but he said it was not properly loaded.
So after I followed the directions for the Bell 2.04/2.05 bootloader, i could no longer even get into the corrupted WM6... it only goes to the bootloader screen. Even after 5 or 6 hard resets it still wont leave the bootloader. I tired flashing the ROM using Build OS, but everytime I do im getting a 100 Error. I have tried multiple USB ports on both a Vista and XP computer, the Vista computer running Bitdefender Gamesafe and the XP computer running Online Armor and Avira.
So can anyone help me or have i bricked it...

Re: Problems with HTC Apache

Do you know what the acronym FoS stands for? Your friend led you down the wrong path bro. Being stuck in BL mode means the phone will not boot at all and is "stuck in BL". If the device will boot all the way into the Today screen then I would think the BL is fine. What I wouldnt want to do it take a device that reads BL v2.02 and try to load BL v2.04/2.05 into it. However, how you are where it IS stuck in BL mode and need to get out of it.

Try this and see if it helps and stay away from Vista if you can. Once you get out of BL mode then you need to go recook you a ROM with BL 2.02 and your carrier selected.

Re: Problems with HTC Apache

Alright!!! So that thing in mtty worked... and now i am working in WM5...
However, I am having an issue with flashing to WM6.1. I have tried on both computers, following all the different tutorials on the site and am getting 100 errors and 201 errors...
Is there anything possibly wrong with a the bootloader or something?

Re: Problems with HTC Apache

Error codes IDK about simply because I dont flash that often. I assume you are selecting the correct carrier and BL versions??? Try reseaching those errors on both Google and here and see what you can find. Sry I cannot help on that one.

Re: Problems with HTC Apache

It is because that 2.04/2.05 to 2.02 guide is the WORST! It will mess up your bootloader. You need to use NoID RUU. And 2.02 for REV.

Re: Problems with HTC Apache

Congrats. But if I were you I would run the Kirvin 3.5 WM5 ROM. Much faster and stable. I posted a thread on it. Just look in the forum and you'll find it.
