Backlight timeout reverts to 10 sec!

I have had this problem for a couple of days now. I set the backlight timeout to 1 minute, and when the device goes into "sleep" mode upon re-activation it resets to 10 seconds. Is there a way to edit the registry to fix it?

Yes there is : HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Backlight. Change ACTimeoutCheck from 0 to 1. reset.

Hmmm. only worked for a day, and back to the problem. Any helps?

This always annoyed the piss out of me as well but I'm sure it helps to save battery over the life of the phone.

I believe this is being caused by SBP Backup. I have always experienced this when I had it installed. I don't use it anymore and the problem never came back.

This happens to me too, only when I use the device lock and then unlock. Interestingly, I use SPB backup...............

Interesting. I used to run SPB backup and had the backlight issue, but since my latest ROM flash I haven't installed it and backlight is okay so far. But anyway, I had pretty good success with creating a shortcut in the startup folder to Neo's backlight fix. See below:

I used to have the same issue too when i had SPB Backup :P.... it all makes sense now.
