HTC touch dialer skin

Anyone using this on their PPC 6700, I have tried it on mine and I am having problems, I am still running the OEM 2.6 AKU. My 6700 is brand new I got it yesterday and I want to make sure it is in good shape before I make any changes. Any how, I am having problems with the smart dialer, it works at first than after I make a phone call, it doesn't work any more, I have to soft reset to get smart dial to work again. I also have had trouble getting the cab to remove completely, I had to do a hard rest to get it out of my PPC. Is anyone using this dialer with any other AKU and how is it working? I really like the layout on this dialer, I will be cooking a new AKU soon so I would like to add this to my update. Thanks,

there is another thread or two about this dialer, just search, but to answer your question: specifically the smartdialing issue. no one has been able to figure out why (i don't think) in wm5 after the 1st incoming/outgoing call you lose the functionality of smartdialer until you soft reset, which kills it immediately. I also had same issue as you, not able to uninstall. however, try soft resetting first, and not entering the phone application - go straight to settings -> remove programs and see if that works.
as for other issues, I've noticed my audio from a reset (phone_on sound) is gone and doesn't play during the startup screen, and entering some folders now takes 3x-4x as long in file manager, and its not just due to file size or # of files.
its a pretty skin, but flakey. right now I can only see the numbers on the dialpad, even when I press a # it doesn't display, so I may have to hard reset
this is after an uninstall, btw
user beware!

The smartdialer in the htc touch is for wm6 only and will not work on wm5. the difference is microsoft decided to write their own smartdialing app which is native to the OS and not the HTC smartdialing app that was in previous editions.
