So I rebuilt a ROM without Live Search. I installed Live Search using the regular .cab file, but it still won't run. Does Live Search have a dependency on .Net framework as Ive been stripping it out of my ROM?
Thanks! |

yes, live search needs .NET CF2. I will add that last 1% to willys response and make it a good 100%.

For the #1 question, it is not the name of the OEM, but the UUID of the rgu\dsm. So, UUIDs starting with 00 are loaded first and ff are loaded last. I suggest you change your UUID in that OEM to fff......... and go from there. Make sure to populate the dsm again.

Thanks for your responses! I got Live Search working after rebuilding my ROM with .NET CF. I changed the UUID for my reg edit OEM packaged to begin with ff, but helmi's addition is still overwriting SOME of the registry edits. If there's a string contained in his OEM that also exists in mine - helmi's registry edits prevail, however, the registry edits in my OEM that do not exist in helmi's DO WORK. Has anyone successfully overwritten helmi's registry edits or managed to edit his .rgu file? Lastly, has anyone managed to get album art working in WMP? Again -- thanks so much for your ideas, my ROM is nearly perfect!
