Re: confusion about activating phones on sprint network
Okay, also, who is the phone on another account? Was it stolen?

Re: confusion about activating phones on sprint network
When a qwest phone esn is called in, they will say its clear and able to activate (assuming it's not stolen or something), then when you say "OK COOL TURN THE BISH ON!" they say "oh, sorry, it's currently on another account and can't be activated". This is because qwest esns are locked to qwest, not the previous owners account. It's misleading how they say it, its because the account they refer to is Qwest's account, no one person that owned the phone. Sprint will not override this, it's up to qwest. qwest doesn't care, they're moving to verizon, you get kinda screwed. They MAY release them after they move to verizon completely, or they may not. I would think once the qwest account is removed, all ESNs belonging to that account should be freed up to activate on sprint.
Yes, I've gone through this with my Qwest apache, this is why I have two apaches, I got one for sprint.
