1. could be bad software, try a different self-installing ROM from here.
2. what OS do you use? there are problems with windows Vista, to where it will run the software and get as far as flashing your device, but then skip the installation of the new ROM and leave you with the same ROM you had before. |

I would suggest you flash your device on a WinXP based PC.
This is a very common problem with WinVista and the embedded Mobile Device Center not sync'ing to your device or allowing your device and PC to be in constant communication. There are updated Vista drivers, and there is also a Vista RRU Upgrade utility available too. I have Vista, but I still flash my device on my WinXP box, since it is more reliable when updating your ROM. |

Vista Flash
I have been flashing ROMs on Vista since January without a single problem. All I did was follow the directions from this post over at Modaco.
