Unhappy Please Help!!

I cooked up a rom in the kitchen (20931) and flashed my phone with it. Everything looked fine and no errors showed up. I followed the directions at the end of the flash and removed the phone did a soft reset, let it boot into windows and then did a hard reset. First thing I noticed was that my today screen is white and I cannot see everything, same thing if I open the dialer. So I figured I would try another flash, only when I connected the phone to the cradle it wanted to install new hardware, which I did and now I cannot connect to Active Syn at all. I have tried all the suggestions in Active Sync's help with no sucess.

Re: Please Help!!

I believe the connection issue is due to the newly installed rom, how can I get another ROM on the phone. After 2 hours of searching and reading about SD card flashing I found two threads that people linked (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...SDCardFlashing) and (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/inane/1119) Unfortunatley everyone that posted anything on the issue was EXTREMELEY VAUGE. If my only option is a flash from the SD CARD 1. What is the name of the file I will need to search for to place on the SD card 2. Which of the two methods I listed should I follow 3. any other tips

Please help out guys, thanks.

Re: Please Help!!

I get the error message "activesync cannot connect to the windows mobile powered device, to troubleshoot problem click ok" I think activsync on the PPC is possibly bad.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Re: Please Help!!

You cooked a bad ROM. Do NOT cook a buncha Apps into it. That's why your screen is blank. Get into bootloader (Power+Record+Reset) and re-flash.

Re: Please Help!!

Awesome man that worked for me thanks alot. I just put it in Bootloader, connected the USB cable to the phone (Activesync still did not connect to it, but I heard the usual USB ding noise) and flashed the rom - minus a few things. I didn't think it would work since Activesync did not connect but it did. Thanks a million.

Re: Please Help!!

You don't need an ActiveSync Connection. I always do bootloader way when I flash.

Re: Please Help!!

Yep. White screens on boot up = too many apps cooked in ROM. Resolution? Re-cook and flash with a ROM with less apps cooked into it. Glad you got it fixed.

Re: Please Help!!

There is a thread somewhere that explains all the different versions of Bootloaders and what the size of each one is. However, trying to calculate the size of the ROM you anticipate on cooking is tricky.

Re: Please Help!!

ya it would ben nice if when you right clicked on an app in the kitchen and clicke OEM INFO that you could see the size. Oh well minor issues, the pros by far outway the cons. Thanks again for the help guys.
