Unhappy Problem installing MSFT Framework 2.0 sp2

Hey guys I would like to install Windows Mobile 6.1. After reading I found which programs I needed to dowload and I started installing them. I installed Build OS (but did not update it yet), I then started to install Microsoft .net Framework 2.0 sp2. While it was installing my PPC was docked in the cradle and connected, after it finished installing on my desktop pc it said to follow the directions on the PPC. It installed on the PPC then said it needed to restart the ppc. Without removing from the cradle I hit the "ok" and the PPC restarted. This is where the trouble starts, I then got an error message from active sync on my desktop pc saying "synchronization cannot be completed sucessfully, disconnect your device and try again, try the troubleshooter if problem persists" I tried the troubleshooter but it just said something about not being connected. My PPC is messed up though, the signal strength icon at the top shows no bars, and in place of the bars there is a circle with a diagnal line through it. Right next to it the transfer icon shows an arrow pointing to the right and arrow pointing to the left and an "x" below both. I tried reinstalling "Framework" on the desktop and ppc but still the same issues. How can I fix my PPC and get this installed properly thanks.

Re: Problem installing MSFT Framework 2.0 sp2

Allright I got the PPC straightened out. When I wrote the earlier question I had tried a soft reset, hard reset and reinstalling the software. What I didn't realize was my initial hard reset was not completed correctly so when i did a correct hard reset the phone is back to usable. Now I just need to get the Framework installed correctly.

Re: Problem installing MSFT Framework 2.0 sp2

I finally got Framewrok installed on both devices. It just took a hard reset, reinstalling the software, and the exact same procedure as before except this time it worked. I cannot get Build OS to update now. It won't even try. Lol if this is how its going to be when I want to do something to the phone I may as well give up. just kidding , I'll make this work one way or another. Any tips for updating the Build OS? The program itself is not running, I click update from the start menu, select the files I wish to download, then get to the screen where it shows two progress bars which say "connecting to the server" but they never move. I have left it for 15 mint and nothing. I even tried uninstalling Build OS then reinstalling it again from the same install file I have. My next move will be to try to download the install file again from PPC Kitchen.org
