Keyboard slide wakes apache up

Greetings,

Built my own ROM for my Apache, ppckitchen, and have an irritant; sliding the keyboard brings the device out of "sleep mode".

This irritates me, the slightest nudge, for example when it's on my hip in its case, wakes it up and then the joystick starts click, click, click...

Is there anyway to make the device only come out of sleep mode when I push the power button. It is set that way and no other button wakes it up but the keyboard slide does.

Tanx in advance

RC

Re: Keyboard slide wakes apache up

That's odd, neither of my apaches will wake up until the screen is all the way up, they can be sitting halfway open and they don't wake up. Did it do this before?

Re: Keyboard slide wakes apache up

Yep same here. None of my Apaches ever wake until the screen is all the way up. On my 6800 the phone won't wake till the power button is tapped.

even though I'm not really adding anything here, mine is like the rest and wakes when fully open.

Re: Keyboard slide wakes apache up

Greetings,

Thanks for the replies, further research has determined that I am full of...

You guys are right, it is not the slide waking it up, but something else???

I know this has been discussed elsewhere but is there a way to say don't wake up unless I have an inbound call or I press the power button? It's really irritating to have the thing start clicking in the case.

Tanx again,,

Do you have the option "Lock all buttons except for power" when device off? It's in the Button settings.

Re: Keyboard slide wakes apache up

Greetings,

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, that is set. I now believe I am looking at the proverbial out of sleep mode when an email or SMS is received.

What i want, and I believe many others want is

The only ways out of sleep is:

1. Inbound phone call
2. Press power button

Tanx again

Re: Keyboard slide wakes apache up

The way I told you above is the way. Others have had it since this phone was first released...
